If you are going to grill frozen crab legs, make sure they are completely defrosted. Make some holes in the shell with the tip of a small, sharp knife. This will ensure the grill heat penetrates the crab legs and cooks them right through.

Put the crab legs on the grill with the red side of the shell facing downwards. Brush the crab legs with oil or butter and cook them for five minutes. Turn them over and cook for five minutes more. You can expect grill marks to appear on the crab leg shell but do not let them burn.
